Welcome and thank you for visiting EMITY! I am Emilia, the holistic carer coach, an HR generalist and a meditation enthusiast. I created EMITY as I have always been passionate about development of the human potential by coaching and motivating individuals to improve their skills and to continuously work on their performance, achieving their work-life balance goals and career objectives. I support my coachees to approach challenges and changes with clarity, integrity, positivity and serenity. The bright blue colour in EMITY's logo reflects the chakram of throat and emphasis the importance of honest self-expression, optimism, sense of purpose, gratitude and calm communication in my coaching.

HR professional by background.

I have over 12 years of experience working in human resources, recruitment, training and coaching. I discovered my passion for HR when supporting managers with recruiting and training new staff members when working in a luxury beauty sector. Finding the aspect of discovering talents and developing individuals professionally satisfying and motivating, I decided to seek my own development pathways within the human recourses. I now work in the senior advisory role in the public sector, and I am a registered coach of the NHS Leadership Academy.

I believe in continuous learning.

Since I graduated from the programme of Culture Studies of University of Wroclaw (Poland), I have undertaken different courses related to recruitment, HR management, training and coaching. 
I have always been fascinated by the holistic approach to life, healing power of nature, art and meditation. Hence why I enrolled programmes supporting my personal growth in this subject, achieving The Intuitive Healing Diploma and The Energy Psychology & Holistic Healing Certification. I am also a member of The Healing Trust - The National Federation of Spiritual Healers (NFSH) in UK.

EMITY Coaching Schedule
  • Firstly, we will connect and talk about Your coaching needs, so I know what career coaching solution would be the best for You and how I can support You with achieving Your goals.
  • We are going to agree on first session and discuss the schedule in advance (re frequency and days of the week).
  • Be ready to be open, honest and even vulnerable, as I will ask You many different questions and You will do most of the talking 🙂
  • I like to start every session with visualisation or meditative exercises - if this is not Your cup of tea, it's fine. We can skip it!
  • Expect some homework after each session. This is not going to be an exhaustive part of the coaching process, but will definitely require some time and attention outside of coaching sessions.
  • No matter what's Your time zone, we can discuss and agree our coaching schedule via online platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, Skype or Meta (Facebook Messenger).  If you live in South-East of UK, the face-to-face coaching is available (details to be discussed and agreed).
  • Have protected time for our coaching sessions as each one will last usually between 50-90minutes. Your financial investment is appropriate to the number of sessions of Your chosen EMITY coaching solution.

What is Coaching?
Coaching focuses on helping a well performing individual overcome challenges and be more effective in reaching their goal through a dialogue based on asking powerful questions and active listening.
Coaching process can sometimes feel intense. It is a confidential conversation or set of conversations containing objectives establishment, ongoing observation and analysis, assessments conducted in variety of ways, planning and setting goals, feedback and evaluation.
What Coaching Is Not?
Coaching is not a therapy or a psychotherapy, although it may sometimes feel intense.
Coaching is not a job training, consulting, mentoring or management.
Coaching is not a crystal ball that magically provides an answer and a guidance on what to do step by step in a particular situation.

What are differences between Coaching and Psychotherapy?
Purpose: Coaching supports psychologically healthy individuals strengthen their mental fitness, realise their potential, improve performance and overall life satisfaction, overcome challenges and be more effective in reaching their future goal through a confidential dialogue. Physiotherapy helps individuals with mental health issues by supporting them in their personal trauma recovery.

Focus: Coaching is focused on helping you achieve your future goals with working out what patterns, values, beliefs or relationship dynamics may be holding you from reaching your full potential. Psychotherapy tends to focus on the past experiences, cognitions and emotions, and healing from it.

Practitioner: Coaching practitioners are not required to be medically trained, they cannot treat mental health conditions or prescribe medications. 
Psychologists and licensed mental health counsellors providing psychotherapy are professionals trained to diagnose and treat mental health problems (such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder etc.), to address past trauma, treat addiction, identifying and resolving family systems issues. Trained counsellors or psychologists can provide coaching services within their therapy practice. 

Coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy and should not be treated as such.
Despite the differences, both psychotherapy and coaching lead to the same destination: the better you.
